The following incentives are offered in Post 16.
Driving School – Queen Elizabeth Mobility Centre
Thinking about learning to drive but not sure where to start?
QEF Mobility Driving School and Stanley Park High have teamed up to offer our Post 16 students an introductory session to Driving School.
Off Road lessons in Year 12
QEF Mobility Services have a private track that is used for learner drivers, under-aged drivers and drivers without licence cover for driving on public roads. Our Post 16 students would get the opportunity to start in Year 12 to experience driving lessons off road.
Included in the programme would be:
- How to improve your chances of being a better driver
- Tips to pass theory & hazard test – first time!
- How to be successful when taking the driving test.
- Details of driving lessons, assessments and discounts.
In addition to the introductory off road lessons we are offering our Post 16 students who consistently achieve excellent commitment grades and have a minimum attendance of 95% the chance to earn 2 hours free driving lessons. There is no obligation for students to continue with QEF Driving School after using the 2 hours, if you choose to stay on a discounted rate will be applied to your further lessons.
As a leading national disability charity QEF has over 75 years’ experience of developing innovative services to ensure that disabled children and adults reach their full potential. We are proud to be associated with such an organisation and our Post 16 students will get the opportunity to offer their voluntary services for 2 hours per week. Students who are interested in courses such as Health & Social Care, Childcare and Public Services should consider voluntary work with QEF.
It goes without saying that Human Beings are a social species. Learning is a social activity. We understand that life in the 21st Century will be strongly dependent on social interaction. Consequently, we believe that social time is an essential part of the Post 16 experience. With this in mind, we are delighted to be creating a brand-new modern, spacious, comfortable and stylish social area for our Post 16 students, with bespoke furniture, resources, and refreshment facilities.
