Textile Design

Objectives:

Students are required to develop and apply knowledge, understanding and skills, through integrated practical, critical and contextual study that encourages direct engagement with original works and practice. Students will realise intentions relevant to textiles design and their selected area(s) of study.

- Students will develop ideas through investigations, demonstrating critical understanding of sources.

- Students will refine work by exploring ideas, selecting and experimenting with appropriate media, materials, techniques and processes.

- Students will record ideas, observations and insight relevant to intentions as work progresses.

- Students will present a personal and meaningful response that realises intentions and demonstrates understanding of visual language.
