Objectives:

To gain an understanding of the enterprise in the Business world. You will explore what businesses do, trends that affect them, how they operate and the factors that influence their success. You will examine the types of costs that businesses incur from start-up to the ongoing daily costs of running the business. You will learn about the structure and organisation of the retail sector and current trends in the industry. You will gain an understanding of the role of recruitment, selection and employment within a business.

To demonstrate their ability to: select, organise and use information from various sources; evaluate evidence and data relating to business, and make judgements about it; present conclusions accurately and appropriately.
