Felix Project Fundraiser

Our energetic, entrepreneurial Business Studies teacher, Mrs Theophilus, will run in of The Big Half, a half marathon in London, on Sunday 4th March 2018, and another added delight is that, out of thousands who applied to meet Mo Farah on the day, Mrs Theophilus was one of ten Evening Standard readers selected. Mrs Theophilus will be running for the charity the Felix Project which helps people living in London fighting poverty and hunger. Year 7 World EFC students sold cakes and raffle tickets at the Poetry Exhibition to support the Felix Project’s impressive charitable work.

The Felix Project has been established to help fight poverty within the UK. More than 10 million tonnes of food is wasted in the UK each year. At the same time, food poverty is a huge and growing problem, with 1 in 10 children in the UK living with parents who struggle to put food on the table. This means an estimated 870,000 children in England go to bed hungry because their parents are unable to provide the meals they need. Thanks so our Y7s and their families, over £200 was raised.  Well done all!
